Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee
|
|
The Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is one of the StanCOG Standing Committees. This committee, newly-created in 2009, advises the Policy Board on bicycle and pedestrian-related issues. It reviews transportation projects and recommends planning efforts that enhance non-motorized transportation opportunities in the Stanislaus region.
Its membership is comprised of a resident from each member jurisdiction who are bicycle/pedestrian enthusiasts.
BPAC meetings are typically held the first Tuesday of the quarter at 5:30 pm in the StanCOG Board Room, 1111 I Street, 3rd floor, in downtown Modesto. These meetings are open to the public and there is an opportunity on every agenda for the public to offer comments.
Individuals interested in serving on the BPAC can be referred by their member agency. Applicants from the public are solicited and accepted. The Executive Committee appoints BPAC members for a four-year term. No member can serve longer than eight consecutive years.
